Course Profile
Our group course content is academically standardized and
promotes long term aims with the language. The teaching, by
native speaker teachers, will be communicative, fun, intimate,
and engages and challenges our students. We take teacher support
seriously within Cactus. Our teachers are qualified language
trainers and are given further leadership by our full time
Director of Studies, here at Cactus, who interviews the teachers,
sends them information on what and how to teach and meets
them for teacher training sessions. Although there will be
an emphasis on speaking and listening, grammar is included
in our programs and will be taught in context. Our programs
are monitored throughout, through feedback gathered from you
by online surveys and acted upon by Cactus.
All 20 hour courses include course books. Most courses listed
below are 10 week courses, with one lesson of two hours on
one evening per week. We also now run survival courses for
beginners needing a quick introduction to their language.
Class size is usually max 12, with an average of 8 students.
For more details on any of these schools or courses please

Course
Outlines |
| The Cactus Course Outlines provide
a learning framework for the Cactus Foreign Language
Evening Courses. They are designed to provide you
with a good idea of what you might cover over a
10-week period, and include typical themes, vocabulary
and grammar areas. They are flexible rather than
prescriptive, in that our teachers can decide to
adapt their learning plans to the specific level,
aims and interests of their classes.
