Although principally spoken in Turkey, Turkish also spoken in countries such as Cyprus, Iraq, Greece, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Romania and Syria. As an 'Altaic' language, Turkish has very little in common with English or other Indo-European languages except for some loan words . mainly from French or English.
